The death of the 2015 SENDCOP. Should government have learnt lessons from listening to the voices of history, research, and politicians? (Part II)

This research builds on a previous study which found that ‘fault lines of failure’ existed in the Special Educational Needs and Disability Code Practice 2015 (SENDCOP). The fault were revealed, through historical analysis policy practice, those multi-agency working, training professionals, pupil/ parent voice, funding systems SEND. current research, application thematic analysis, sought to examine whether lines’ evidenced this observable politician’s speeches detailed Hansard from December 2014 May 2022. similar extant failure indeed there was also significant disjunct between government rhetoric parliamentarians as success operation SENDCOP. concludes moving into new legislative era, must not only listen to, but hear heed voices these offer source wisdom provide early warning opening have doomed SEND policies failure.
